Me and the fella want to go to egypt this year for 2 weeks. Can anyone give me a realistic opinion on availability of Vegetarian Food out there (no fish!), the best diving spots (not too crowded and somewhere i can get a good dive on my advanced open water certificate, but my fella can also qualify for his basic open water) And dress codes.

Thanks in advance x

Hi, I cannot help much with the food query, but I do not recall having not seen much vegetarian options during my Egyptian trips. As for diving, I would suggest Dahab as it offers great diving (The Blue Hole, IIRC) and snorkelling sites. Very inexpensive lodging as well. If you check out my website, you could catch a tiny glimpse of Dahab under the World pictures. Dahab is coincidentally also the starting point if you want to climb Mount Sinai - an incredible experience in itself!!

Lover of just five things - travelling, photography, thick crust pizzas, the xy-chromosomes, the Italians and the Dutch. Well, I can't count, so?
