Andy, I love the silhouettes of the mountains peeking through the fog and all those different shades of blue the black firs in the foreground give a good contrast.

bertison - Oct, 31 2007 04:10pm
the misty mountains are well captured and gives impression of the distance.

Andy, an absolute gem amongst all the alpine landscape pictures we have, photographed by you a true artist [4.75]

Andy, if you hadn't captioned the photograph, I would have thought it was clouds. Quite magical & mystical & mysterious.

horourke - Nov, 01 2007 09:11pm
great mix of long distance visibility and mysterious fog in the valleys. Is this a common weather condition in this area?

It looks like a Himalaya Mountains painting by Nikolai Roerich

Andy - I know you don't like the idea of nominating yourself for an award but I think many of us would be very regretful if this amazing photo did not apear in the POM slot on our home page for a month. Thanks for sending it anyway.

eirissa - Nov, 02 2007 05:11pm
I agree with davidx - it would be an excellent choice for the POM. Great photo, almost unreal. Congratulations.

horourke - Nov, 02 2007 06:11pm
Yeeeessss!!! let us start a popular call from members to have this declared POM

frenchfrog - Nov, 03 2007 11:11am
Pom, will be fine by me!!- ppppppeeeeerfect picture! Great colours.

downundergal - Nov, 15 2007 02:11am
What a perfect dreamscape. I see modesty prevailed and you did not choose yourself for POM even though it would have been well deserved. Maybe a time delay and it is named for November.

This is gorgeous! The blue background looks so dreamy and like water colour painting....the trees act as a reminder that this is a real shot. 5*****
