Located in the Eastern Caribbean, Antigua is a charming island, about 14 by 11 miles wide and boasts of having 356 beaches. The local currency is EC Dollar and English is the official language.
The capital is St. John; where the white baroque towers of St. John’s Cathedral dominate nearly half of its visitor’s views when they arrive by cruise ship. The wharf has a large shopping area, complete with hotels, restaurants and casinos.
