Thiksey Gompa's by antonioagui

Thiksey - India, Jammu and Kashm¿r Thiksey Gompa is an old monastery belonging to the gelukpa order. It reminds me somehow to the Potala. All the small houses on the way to the top are houses for the students and monks who live there. They rent rooms for the night to tourists, but if you make friendship with the monks they may invite you to their rooms for free, having the chance to experience the way of life there. The gompa is on a small hill surrounded by a small desert with amazing views of the Himalayas on the background.
