Cafe Tortoni
This cafe has a lot of history, but less more.
The place is like a little museum, but the quality of the meal is not. It is not very expensive but it doesn't offer anything special at all.
If you want to take a look at the pictures of famous people that has visited the cafe just ask for a coffee or a soda.
The atmosphear is old, the chairs are not so comfortable as they seem to be... didn't like it at all.

Cumaná
Only place we found serving Mate in traditional argentinean way. Take some time if you want to try it.
The place is allways full for dinner, and as tables are small and close the noise can be a little disturbing.
We love the "empanada de dulce de leche" for dessert and also any empanada made in the big open oven.
My suggestion, visit it in the afternoon (more calm) and take a rest with a mate. The bread toasts with dulce de leche were amazing (be carefull with the size).
You can design on the paper table cloth with the crayons thay provide every table.
