Bad news from China...

Since years I dream about crossing the Tibet west to east - Kashgar to Shangri - La in Yunnan. Kashgar to Lhasa section via Kailash and EBC is open. But I just received a message from the agancy in Tibet: "...Thanks for your e-mail. The Shangri-la to Lhasa route has been closed since 2009 and we don't know if it will be reopen next year... " Bad news! How many years more I will wait? It is 21st century! How to apply to the PRC to open this route? :) Can you see any solution?
