Layover in Hong Kong airport Oct 2007

In those 12 hours I would like to see the city or go to Lantau Island. Does anyone know how to arrange this? Is there an tourist office at the airport or a website to arrange this? From there you have Hong Kong at your feet. Get the bus from under Exchange Square, right next to the station, up to the peak. Or hop onto the MTR and explore to your hearts content. The Airport is on Lantau, just hop on a bus outside.
