Have a good holiday. There is so much to see and Frisco is a beautiful city.

Andy,

San Francisco is wonderful. Can I suggest Muir Woods, just north if San Francisco - that will also take you across the Golden Gate Bridge, right past Sausalito (home to WhereisLiz). The coast line further north is quite beautiful, although cold, especially up by Fort Ross, a Russian fort near the mouth of the Russian River. Are you looking to backpack at all? If so I can give you trail information, as well as some terrific day hikes. Lost Coast Trail is stunning and very remote. Working south, Big Sur has some fantastic trails that are beautiful this time of year. Big Basin is beautiful (best time of year for the Berry Creek Falls Loop!). Some of Sequoia National Park will be open - most Yosemite Trails are closed this time of year, although the valley floor is beautiful and much less crowded this time of year. Tahoe is still packed with skiers but beautiful.

Have a wonderful time!
