Middleton Place's by aufgehts

Charleston - United States, South Carolina The origianl house was built in 1741 but during the Civil War, the 56th New York Infantry sacked and burned the plantaion. All that was left was the south wing which was like a guest house. After the war, a small addition was added and that is the house you see today. This house and its gardens were featured in the movie "The Patriot" with Mel Gibson and Heath Ledger.
