public transport in Sydney
public transport in sydney is a bit complicated for beginners,(as it might be in every city around the world) however the maps and general info at the stations or major bus stops are clear and simple, .the best way to avoid long wait caused by trackworks is to check current updates on train timetables, when this is happening , buses are provided to minimise inconvienence and delays, which can be up to 90 min on long distances, for example from sydney to blue mountains, that doesn't happen often, but might be a surprise as there is no info about trackworks until you are at the train station. please check website as it help to have better general knowledge about this big city. another tip is to choose a 'day tripper' ticket as it is cheaper if you travel far or by different public transport, ie.ferry to manly or to parramatta or bus to palm beach or train to penrith, these are only small examples of more expensive tickets, which can be avoided by multiple unlimited travel- "day tripper" more
