The Northern Terroritory is a hot dry land and most of the inhabitants either live in DARWIN or ALICE SPRINGS. Nearly 50% of the land is owned by aborigines and as a result it has the largest concentrations of aborigines in their traditional communities.
The centre of Alice Springs is Todd Mall, where you’ll find a number of shops, restaurants, cinema and casinos, etc. There are limited things to keep you occupied in ‘the Alice’ but some are visiting the: Royal Flying Doctor Service Base, School of hte Air and Telegraph Station Historical Reserve. Then there is ANZAC Hill at the end of Todd Street, this monument commemorates the union between Australia and New Zealand’s and their war efforts. [edit text][editors]
