Yanakie is just at the gateway to the Prom (ie Wilsons Promontory National Park). This town provides basic accommodation and food to all visitors who are not comfortable with camping at the Prom. If you love fishiing then this is the perfect place for you to make a stop at Sandy Point to try your luck, otherwise head on to Shallow Inlet which incidentally is the home of the current world speed record made by a sailing craft.
