missalicia Joined: Mar 05 Points: 14 Posts: 1 Posted: 2005-09-25 01:47:00    one summer ago i took my backpack and my hiking boots and hit the tatra mountians on the southern border of poland and slovakia. i climbed and hiked for ten days. i spent a lot of time in the centre of the city of zakopane. zakopane means ''buried'' because the city is beautifully located in the middle of the mountains. i bought many wool sweaters and warm leather shoes. the most important fact of this all was that i couldnt get enough of hiking. i hiked until i thought that my legs were going to fall off. thank God they didnt.
