Saqqara - Egypt, Al J¿zah The Pyramid of Djoser or step pyramid at Saqqara was built around 2650 BC by the architect Imhotep. The pyramid has a base size of 125.0 x 109.0 m and a height of 62.3 m. It is constructed of six segments in the shape of mastabas.
