This report will be dedicated to Wasen, the Oktoberfest in Stuttgart. it started this Saturday, 24th of Sept. 2005. My husband took me there to celebrate our First Annyversary. As you will se later in these picture, it was great. It is especially interesting to those of you who are bier (beer) lovers and gourmaines, but it's also a good place to take your kids because they can find heaps of good rides there. From Ferris Wheel, Mery-go-round to Fright House etc. What ever you decide your enjoyment would be, take a lot of monney with yourself. Everything is much more expencive than usually. t is good to know that Wasen, as well the Oktoberfest, are festivities dedicated to the beggining of harvest. everything is decorated in that manner and you get to see lot's of people all ages and genders dressed in traditional dresses.

There they have many tents where you can sit and enjoy good food, better bier and nice traditional music. It is hard to pick just one of those tents, but my hubby and I decided to stick to Klauss Familly tent. It is huge! it takes up to 5000 guests and in the evening it is full! They also have a big stage from which the band amuses the crowd.

Of course being there would mean that you have to try beer. Unfortunatelly, they had only those large stiens of 1l and I thought it's going to be impossible to drink all that. Little did I know! Plus, since i came here, I don't drink Pils anymore but a famous german weat beer weissen. So what do you think I liked best? Stiens or beer?

As I was saying, those tents are all like huge pubs! Once you get there make sure you visit every one of them before you decide where you are going to stay. You'll see people dressed in same T-shirts representing their cities, favorite teams or just letting eveyone know that they are together. They are all merry, drinking beer and singing and dancing with the band which makes fantastic atmosphere from the stage.

Food over there is almo great. The portions are huge and you mostly have the traditional dishes on the menu. Since they have lot's of guests, the problem is that you can't have a half of portion ordered. Also, be aware that prices are much higher than usually.
