They are sooo great. Actually I wanted to do the bikeride but when they presented me their eco lodge progrmas - FANTASTIC!! I had the very best trip in bolivia with them - beginning with the chicks in the office to the awesome funny guides - the absolut fantastic equipment, they have the best rocky mountain bikes from Canada, to the fantastic eco lodge in the middle of the jungle. I did with some others the rafting trip and the flying fox .... some of us enjoyed the nature that we decided to stay there longer and just relax a bit ... we were also suprised what diversity of waterfalls, plants and animals there are ... not talking about the fresh tropical fruits which we just graped from the trees - there I have seen also my first coffe plant and how the plant of the famous coca leaf looks like. I loved it! more

Top choice. Thanks to them I made the most dangerous road in the world. Professional organisation, excellent guides and top class equipement. Litlle more expensive than others ( 69 USD if you are paying by cash, 71 USD if you are paying by credit card). In this price we received: double suspension Canadian Rocky Mountains bikes, helmets, trousers, vest at the end we received also CD with pictures from the trip. Price include also breakfast. I can highly recomend it. more

Second spot popular with gringos in Bolivia (they were recomended by Joy Ride Cafe in Sucre). Tasty and big plates, bacpackers atmosphere, located close to Plaza San Francisco and main street. Huge range of Bolivian and international food, open from 6 pm. You can pay there with credit cards. They have three rooms( downstairs are billiards tables. more
Onkel Inn
very nice and clean hostel with really helpfull staff. It seams to be quite new. When you go there check out their terrace and the Pub ;-) .... I had a really nice stay there!! more
Hostal Maximilliano
Only one advantage is it price - but still not fantastic (70 bolivianos per double). Located very close to the Bus terminal (5 minutes walk) and not so far wawy from Plaza San Francisco. Not so clean, I have been beaten by some insects there. Shared facilities, noisy neighbourhood. Owed by charming old lady. I think that there are better hostels.... more

We discovered this too late to stay but a beautiful old colonial home with large rooms & bathrooms. more
