Korssun-Schewtschem Kowskij

In year 2001 I was in Korssun.Its in the Cherkassy oblast and around 140km in the west of Cherkassy and 140 km in the south of Kiev. I think you can reach Korssun by Bus over Cherkassy only.(I am not sure if you if you cna go directly from Kiev) But you can also go by train to it.It has around 20.000 inhabitants. There I staied in a ukrainian family.It was really interesting but we couldnt talk eachother because no one could speak english or german and I cant speak Russian or Ukrainian :(

Favourite spots:
Well, Korssun is sourounded by a lot of forrest and a lake nearby.The nature sence is very beautiful.

What's really great:
The kindness of people, food and the beautiful nature :)

Accommodations:
I am not pretty sure what its meaned by this but if you ever should go there you maybe should speak a little russian.Hm..and the toilets doesnt expect western standart...

Other recommendations:
There is a beautiful park, nearby Korssun you can visit the birthplace and a museum of Taras Schevshenko.The national hero of Ukraine
