Waterton Park travel tips

Prince of Wales Hotel
There are plenty of hotels in Waterton, but the one most people know is the Prince of Wales Hotel. Perched atop the bluffs near the Bosporus and built in 1927, it has European styling and a rugged sophistication. Here it is possible to enjoy British High Tea if one is so inclined. more

Glacier Waterton Suites
A small all-suite hotel, all twenty-six rooms have a Jacuzzi tub and fireplace. It is also open year round and located in the Waterton townsite. If you live in North America, you can call toll-free 1-886-621-3330. more

Waterton Springs Campground
Over a 150 campsites spread over a large campground, with both RV and treed camping. There are plenty of bathrooms, showers, an Internet café, arcade, several playgrounds, a laundry and a store on site as well. more

Pat’s
Pat’s has the town’s only ATM, as well as rentals for bicycles, mopeds and surreys. It also sells camping and fishing supplies, fishing licenses, and ice cream in the summer. more

New Frank's Restaurant
Throughout western Canada, most small towns have a Chinese restaurant. Frank’s is Waterton’s Chinese restaurant and it offers a mixed menu, with a $4.95 breakfast of bacon and eggs, as well as burgers, sandwiches, pasta, chicken, beef or shrimp stirfries, and a full Chinese menu if one desires. more

Zum’s Restaurant and Merchantile
Zum’s is without a doubt one of the best places to eat in Waterton Lakes! We ate there twice during our three-day stay and each time the food was delicious! The prices are reasonable for a resort town. The restaurant has a nice little patio, so you can enjoy a cold beer in the afternoon. Zum’s is a family kind of place that is open from 8 am. until after dinner. A really good thing to keep in mind is that most items from their lunch menu can be packed up for picnic hikes if you want to be out in the wild at mealtime. more
