It's a little big city, as it has the benifits and the problems of a large city but can be still quite safe and people are not so cold as in great metropoles. It's my home town and I love it, even more since I have been studying in Toronto. more

The only place to go at night is the market. For budget accommodation I would suggest the Youth Hostel near Ottawa U Campus. It is an old jail with an extraordinary atmosphere. more
