Shanghai is the largest city in China and has grown as a result of its location on the banks of the Huangpu River. It is now leading the way for China to become a first world country. It has over 13 million people and every year the number of affluent people grows seeing a slight shift from communism to capitalism.
Some of the make landmarks in Shanghai which makes the city special are: Oriental Pearl TV Tower (and the new area of Pudong), Peace Hotel (which is a tribute the days of old), The Bund (a pristine walkway and park on the banks of the river), Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Hall (located in the People's Square and a wonderful example of modern architecture), the Shanghai Museum (with great examples of ancient Ming China), Huangpu River tours, the Jade Buddha temple, and for the ultimate fashion experience Nan Jing Road.
