Leshan's major attraction is none other than the Leshan Giant Buddha. This stone statue of a towering height of 71m, is located 160 km from the city of Chengdu. The statue was carved out of solid rock around 713AD. It's famous for being the largest Buddha statue in the world. [edit text][editors]
