With 6 Toyota Land Cruiser through the desert in the south of Algeria between Tamanrasset and Djanet, north of the border to the Republic of Niger. This area is the "heartpeace" of the sahara.
2000 km, mostly off road. Sanddunes and rockformation in perfection. We slept under the open sky. Watching the stars you can almost feel the earth turning.

Assekrem, Tin Akacheker, Oued Tagrera, Erg d´Admer, Djebel Telehteba. Every place is a perfect composition of sand, rock and blue sky.

| What's really great: |
Hundreds of ancient rock paintings on the Tassili N`Ajer, 4000 to 6000 years old. A real art gallery! The paintings report about a time, when the sahara was a fertile area with trees, plants and lots of animals.
