Member opinion: Streetside cafe sitting right on Masbat in the south "locals" side of town, this is a very traditional bastion of testosterone. Named after a famous Egyptian singer, music videos play in the background while ongoing games of Backgammon, Dominoes and Chess take place amongst the perfume of Shisha pipes and mint tea. I was the only woman in the place but as a westerner, little attention was paid as I watched my son, age 14, play dominoes with all comers. There is no charge for the games which are brought to the table on trays, as long as you order drinks.
