What a city!!! true? Is a contrast city between the chaotic urban grow and the great ancient Greek architecture. The past and the future mixed in this great city. The Plaka quarter is the finest example of this urbanistic and chaotic grow all arround the old areas.

| Favourite spots: |
|
The Akropolis, sintagma, omonia, the agora, the zeus temple, the panathinaic stadium, the plaka quarter, the likabytos, monastiraki quarter, the pireus harbour, the national history museum, etc ...

| What's really great: |
This city is special because of what can offer to the traveller.
If you are interested in art, archeology, nightlife, long walks, modernity ... you can find there all this and much more.
What i like more was for sure walk by the Plaka quarter and drink some Ouzo alcoholic drinks just looking the Akropolis at the top of the mountain.

| Accommodations: |
There are some youth hostels inside the city as the Number 4 hostel.
Don´t care because, for example, all around the Sintagma square there are some "Backpackers-hunters" looking for you to offer their cheap pensions or guesthouses.
So it´s easy!

|
Go to the Plaka quarter just down the akropolis to eat with a wonderful view.
