One of only two Tate galleries outside London, the other being in Liverpool, this is beautifully sited to give splendid views of the nearby beach and of the town.
It specialises in contemporary art, much of it Cornwall based. Saint Ives has long been a base for artists and the siting of a Tate Gallery here is totally appropriate.
The third floor cafe/restaurant, though a bit expensive, provides particularly fine views.
