Member opinion: If the Isle of Man Steam Railway is the longest steam narrow gauge line in the British Isles, this must surely be among the shortest, running only about one and a half miles on 2 foot track, from the Groudle [first from Douglas] station on the electric railway steeply down by a terrific woodland route to the beach.
