Member opinion: A must-do when visiting Edinbugh is a ghost tour of the city and the underground vaults. There are so many tour companies offering similar tours, but what most people dont know is that some are more theatrical than others. We did not want any people jumping out in front of us or other planned scaring techniques, if we saw something we wanted it to be the real thing. We took The Ghosthunter Train tour with Mercat Tours, with no theatrics, just a really excellent storyteller. Even though we did not experience any ghosts or other paranormal activity, it was still scary and entertaining! I would recommend the tour we took, and the others since they are proven to not be theatrical in any way.
