Bucarest travelogue picture
The capital of Romania is one of the best destinations for young travellers with little money and many cultural needes. Dracula is just part of the legend, Romania has many more things to show the visitant. Open your mind and let the Romanian spirit guide you along one of the countries who has kept best the traces of comunism.

Favourite spots:
Bucarest travelogue picture
Bucarest has many things to do and see. Palatul Parlament, The village Museum, Caucescu's grave, The arch of triumph, The Unirii square. Universitii Square (important place in the Revolution, pic)Then Sinaia, just two hours by train, a nice and paceful place where you can find the Palas Castle

What's really great:
It was like Spain 30 years ago. I love that country, and you enjoy it even more with local guides. I rented an apartment by the Casa Pupurloi (Palatul Parlament) and i tried to be romanian.

Accommodations:
The hotels in Romania are trying to get really fast the western standars, but it takes some time. So forget about those standars and try in Villa Helga, in Salcamilor street, great place for young people.

Nightlife:
That's one thing you'll see everywhere. Trocadero is really cool (or was cool 4 months ago...those things changes so so fast...)

Hangouts:
That's not the bussines there.

Restaurants:
For backpacker nothing like Nicoresti, close to Villa Helga hostel. Romanian dishes with ridiculous prices!
