Your tour of Edfu begins with a horse carriage ride to the Temple of Horus, dedicated to the Falcon God. This is the best preserved temple in Egypt and the sight that welcomes you in the black granite statue of a falcon. Enter the court yard to the Great Hypostyle Hall and admire the scenes / paintings on the walls and columns which depicts the mythological story of the birth of Horus and how Horus triumphed over his father's murderers.
