Shali Fortress seen from the Main Street's by eirekay

Siwa - Egypt, Maºrø± Decaying Shali Fortress, a mud brick 12th century fortress built by the Berbers, stands just off the main street of Siwa Oasis. You can hike to the top, but be careful - main of the ceilings/floors are buildof old palm branches covered with mud and will bend under foot.
