When you stay in one of the holiday resorts in the Olimpic riviera you can go on a one day trip to a little island called Skiathos. It is a trip offered by many travel agencies and it gives you the idea how much Greek islands differ from the continental Greece. You start early in the morning, board a boat and start a cruise which lasts about 3 hours. Then you have some free time at a beautiful beach where you can swim in a crystal blue water and sunbathe. Then you sail to the capital city - Skiathos which offers you narrow winding streets, white and blue houses and a beautiful panorama from the top of the hill. Then you sail back home with a newly gained desire for visiting Greek islands.
