Harbor Seal Nursery at Whalers Cove's by el2995

Big Sur - United States, California This Harbor Seal nursery ground is located at Whalers Cove near the Whalers Cabin and Whaling Station museums. The area is accessable via a service road, and also via 'easy-access' (wheelchair-navigabl-e) trails. The wheelchair route to the nursery grounds follows the Carmelo Meadow Trail to the right of the entrance station, then proceeds left along the Granite Point Trail. A fairly short but quite nice hike from the Whalers Cabin follows the Cabin Trail then proceed left along the North Shore Trail; this hike provides some good view of both Whalers Cove and Bluefish Cove.
