Hello everybody! I advise you to travel to Ukraine and visit its capital Kiev.

Kiev is a gateway to Ukraine and is still the easiest city to travel to the country. As the capital and the largest city, it usually grants visitors their first impressions of Ukraine, The simple fact remains that there is an amazing amount to see and to do in this city. Without any exaggeration, it is one of the most majestic and greenest cities of Europe, Flowering chestnut trees cover the streets for summer period, and during this time, no other city could seem so green and full of beauty.

Even more picturesque is Kiev simply geographically, built on a series of steep wooden hills that rise above the wide channel of the slow-moving Dnipro. The city spreads over 42 km from North to South along the banks of the mighty Dnipro River.

At 2,286km the Dnipro is the Europe's third longest river and the Ukraine's defining waterway, Early Ukrainian civilization was borne from the Kievian Rus trade routes along the Dnipro and the largest band of the Ukrainian Cossacs began their independent governments on the river's largest island Khortytsya. Cruising down the river has long been "thing to do" when visiting Ukraine, but those who are not travelling by ship may still find they keep crossing the Dnipro in their journey as the river has always the cultural and political boundary between East and West.

The art and architecture of Kiev are considered world treasures. Many famous artists, poets and writers estimated the unique beauty of this city. The most renowned landmarks include: Cathedral of St. Sophia with outstanding mosaics and frescoes dating back to the 11th century; Kievo-Percherskaya Lavra featuring several monasteries and cathedrals; Golden Gate of Kiev, which date back to 1037; Ukrainian Baroque Church of St. Andrew; the magnificent 19th-century Cathedral of St. Vladimir; and many other attractions. Kiev is often referred to as "the mother of all cities" by Russians and Ukrainians. It is one of the oldest towns in Europe. In the historical center of Kiev you can feel the spirit of the past everywhere.

The nature of Ukraine is various. There are plenty beautiful spots here (forests, mountains, rivers, sea, caves an so on ). The Carpathians mountains in the west and the Crimea mountains in the south. Mixed forests of pine and fir-trees, beeches, limes, oaks and elms cover the mountains, but the thickest woods can still be found in the northern part of the country, in Volyn. Kiev and Cherkassy lie in the midst of Ukrainian southernmost pine forest. Outdoor activities in Carpathian and Crimea are very popular among not just local people, but foreign tourists.

The main Ukrainian river is the Dnieper. It is one of the longest European rivers. In the south Ukraine is washed by Black Sea and Sea of Azov. There are such river fishes as bream, crucian, carp, pike, perch, silver carp,Catfish, pike perch and other kinds. Sea fishes: Jack mackerel, mullet, flounder and others.

Fishing,Hunting, Ukrainian banya(sauna), that resembles Turkish bath are also available for tourists. Medical tourism can offer alot: treatment in local clinics, sanatoriums, dentistry clinics. Big pluses: low rates and no visa requirements for some countries.
