Getting to Athens

I'm most likely going to be flying into Prague and then work my way south to Croatia. I'd like to venture over to Athens and the Aegean for a bit but I'm not sure of the best way to get there from Croatia (Or even Italy) Several ferries run from the Adriatic into Patral, but I can't find out how to get from there to Athens. Does anyone know of a cheap way to get from the Adriatic area to Athens? (You meant Patras, didn't you?) I have another question. Does anyone know if there is a ferry service from Dubrovnic to Igoumenitsa, Greece. Id like to travel directly from Croatia to Greece, but is that possible without traveling through Italy?
