Hi,

I'm from Italy, and this is my first post here, so I'd like to greet to all the travellers who frequent this site!

I'm going to visit Lisbon with my wife in the 4th week of August, and we both like to visit small markets, to scrutinize the stalls, to visit fairs and exhibitions. Are there interesting things to see in that period? For example, I read about the "Feira da ladra", an outdoor antique trade market.

Thanks in advance for your kind replies, bye!

P.S.: I hope my english is understandable...!

Alberto

Hi, welcome to the crowd. Hope you will travel safely. I can't give you any advise, but Lisbon I was told is a beauty of a town.

Try to visit Feira de S. Pedro, in Sintra (not far from Lisbon): sunday 28, as well as Feira da Ladra, in the very heart of medieval Lisbon, every saturday.

Need more information about Lisbon?

Ciao.

For Sintra see this site:

http://www.portugalvirtual.pt/_tourism/costadelisboa/sintra/indexp.html

and for Lisbon, among others,

http://lisboa.kpnqwest.pt/i/lisboa.html.

They are both written in Portuguese and English.
