Hi there,

I am going to a Spa in Piestany, Slovakia on 17/03/06 for a week.

Is there any Globosapien that can advise me on what to see and do in and around Piestany?

Thanks

Juli

Hi!!

If you like to ski I am recommending a Chopok ski slope!! sensational slopes!!Being on Slovakia I am recommending it to stop by to Poland particularly to Cracow!! These are only two hours of a drive in a car.

Enter on website and see which it is a beautiful city.

If you are searching accommodation in Cracow I know the very nice place and inexpensive. It is new hostel - "Travel Republic" is on the first floor of a stately pre-war building a short walk from the main train and bus stations, across the street from the new Galleria Krakowska and just north of Krakow's bustling Old Town city centre. The historic Wawel Castle, Kazimierz (the old Jewish city and new social hot spot!), a wide variety of shopping options and literally hundreds of cafes, restaurants, bars, clubs and pubs are just a short walk from our door. Of course, taxis and trams are also readily nearby.

And as a matter of fact see alone I will send you cord by the English name with version of the page. I am recommending!!!

Travel Republic is an easy 5-minute walk from Krakow's main train & bus stations, and only about 200 metres (1/8 mile) from the Florianska gate -- the passageway to the historic Old Town and the clubs, cafes and restaurants on Europe's largest medieval market square.

Their friendly staff speak Polish and English (they will do their best to communicate in other languages, as well) and they are at your service around the clock.

Hi mrovka

Thanks for your message. I appreciate your suggestions about Poland. Unfortunately we have booked into a Piestany Hotel for 7 nights and thereafter we return to SA. I was looking for tourist attractions close to Piestany.

If I ever go to Poland I will contact you as you seem to know a lot about Poland.

Regards

Juli

I'd recomend going to Cachtice Castle. You can find it's exact location in Google Earth with the slovakia download places from exploreglobe.net
