Farnaz, I just found out that there is evidence that the bones of Saint Stephen, Saint Matthew and the Prophet Daniel, are being kept in this church. This is fabulous, I didn't realise the importance of this building before. Oh yeah, it was built in the 9th century CE.

Amanda, there are many places in iran that can be fabulous for a tourist, but sorrily most are unknown or maybe policies against my country makes people afraid to travel to iran?

mistybleu - May, 20 2010 07:05am
One of these days I would really like to make the journey

Iran is truly a fantastic place to travel. People should have no fear to embark on the discovery of this beautiful country. The problem, however, is that some nationalities have major difficulties to get a visa. And for independent travellers, there is little information about how to travel in Iran and possibility to book hotels, internal flights, tours from their home countries.

well,i hope we iranian memebrs can help you with that!
i remember when i joined globo Iran was very unknown and this was so sad.my all aim was to introduse a real face of my country to the world.the wild and beautiful nature and the glorious history of this old land.

Oh, yes! I know that. You offered me some great help. And although we have not met when I was in Iran, I met a whole bunch of exceptionally friendly people. I loved it so much that I will most definitely go to Iran again. And I know my ways around now... although booking a hotel is still a challenge, hehe.
