Bour and Tindholmur

Bour is situated on the island of Vagar [pronounced something like Vau-er] in the Færoes - beyond the airport. To say that it commands magnificent coastal views doesn't distinguish it from many other Færossights but there is something very special about the splendid stacks visible from it and the islet of Tindholmur is one of the most shapely in all the islands.

The road did terminate in Bour until some time in the last four years, when the Færoes newist tunnel connected it with the even more remote village of Gasadalur. [edit text] [editors]
