Fajara is one of the coastal towns, which is described as the 'posh end'. This is where the rather good medical centre is located, as well as foreign embassies and a few of fine restaurants. The beach is also nice (yet there are much better ones along the coast) and there is a golf course. There are no particular sights in Fajara. The elaborate villas and grand mansions are hidden behind tall concrete walls, which do not make the town look very attractive at all. It is relatively safe but there are few places to hang out or party at night. Also, Fajara's accommodation options had seen better days. The large hotels, which once were the best in the country, lost their charm and have not seen fresh paint for years and years. [edit text][editors]
