Travelling on cruises is not so expensive, and every year the prices decrease. This German company has four boats navigating permanently around the seven seas. One of them, the Maxim Gorki, takes 135 days to go around the world and costs only about 7000 euro for the whole journey in an internal double room, full pension with shows and excursions. You can travel by fragments, from Auckland to Singapore, from Cochin to Jeddah, from Callao to Papeete stopping in Easter Island, Pitcairn, Bora Bora, etc. (that was what I did in 2006) or any other combination you like, and you pay according to the length of your trip.
