davidx Premium account Joined: Dec 04 Points: 34719 Posts: 440 Posted: 2008-01-27 18:21:00    I am sure it wasn't anybody able to use this board who sought to encourage a new Croat member, who admitted problems with English, by giving him 2* for a report which is quite long, easy enough to understand and with quite a bit of information. If anybody is in doubt, I am being sarcastic - not a thing I usually do or like but this sort of thing really upsets me. If people had to write perfect English, how many splendid reports would we have lost? --- Grieve not for that which you cannot do but rejoice in that which you can. Anyway the mathematics of the rating system have now evened out the result to average at your evaluation level for this report. Someone who was flushed out in evening up some of my ratings, inadvertently taught me this method. Best regards. I must disagree David by saying that rating 4* for that report is not going to encourage that member when he writes better reports and neither other (regular) members who spend about 3 to 5 times more time on preparing a report. I can well understand, a **** rating for that is just as well off as a ** rating.
