ISLE OF SERENDIPITY - SRI LANKA |

Shaped like a teardrop, this untamed tropical paradise is situated at the tip of the Indian peninsula. Traces of the British colonial occupation, superb beaches, Ceylon tea and a culture of its own, all add to the wonders of Sri Lanka.

1. GALLE HOTEL built on or about 1864 is one of Sri Lanka’s most delightfully colonial hotels that offers a great view of the sun drowning itself in the Indian Ocean. Soak in the atmosphere and watch the world go by as you sip on your arrack (a local liquor).
2. Plush Moghul Restaurant called Navaratne at Taj Samudra offers mouth-watering food!
3. Sea Fish Restaurant at Colombo for finger-licking cheap seafood prepared local style!

Make a stop at MT LAVINIA, a small beach resort only 12km from Colombo to catch the spectacular sunset. I was told that many couples from overseas, love to get married on the beach, and how true it was on that day! I saw two couples from UK tying the knots on the beach with the sunset as their backdrop. It was indeed very romantic!!
