A scene of tragedy. In 1798 a son of the landlord family who occupied the mansion was a pastor who zealously promoted the suppression of the insurrection of Irish imitating the French Revolutionaries.
He personally executed some of the rebels.
By 1820, he was out of favour and devoid of a career. His mother had the church built to be his vicarage- he never occupied it and died at a very early age
