A high-class hotel situated beatifully near the Danube river. The rooms are very comfortable, a large buffet breakfast is included as well as access to a well-equipped spa. I can also highly recommend you to use the opportunity to borrow a bike for free and visit the nearby Margit island. more
Papillon Hotel
Papillon Hotel is situated on the Buda side of the Danube river, in a quite area, about 10 min walk from nearest tram station.
The entrance hall is small and you have to pass through a narrow corridor and up the stairs before you reach the reception desk. However, the staff is very friendly and good in English, and the rooms are clean and nice.
This is a very good alternative in the budget class (55 euros / night for a double room). more

For Sale Pub
Nice place, very crowded. Portions are big and tasty, staff quite friendly. The interior of the restaurant is very interesting, and in my opinion quite charming. Located close to Vaci Utca, so in city center. Good for a Hungarian cuisine. more
Pest Buda Restaurant
The food was not not good and overpriced (for the city) and in very little quantities... Even worse musician were playing gipsy music at each table and begging for money : some people may like it, i did not!! (even if I love gipsy music). Even if you are taking a set, the weither will add to your bill 15 % extra and will trying to tell you that is a tax (but this is a tip for him)
I really do not recomend this place more
TO-MA Apartments
The excellent place if you are travelling in bigger group. The prices starting from 70 EUR per appartment per day. In the apartment can sleep up to seven person. It is very close to the Danube river, subway line and city center. Place vaery quiet, so you can sleep easily all night. In front of my appartment (appartments are located in several places, but all in the city center) was very good restaurant, where plates were big and tasty. Most of the clients were local people. more
