it's a historic place alright! today it's just another town.
but you can't beat the weather, even in summer,when afternoons touch +40 you can be sure of pleasent evenings.
vegetables, fruits are tasty. red meat is superb!
10 kms. away you can visit Vathar, a place full of ruins. Phaltan palace is also nothing much to write home about.
