Surabaya is the second largest city in Indonesia, after Jakarta ( capital city). It is located in East Java and is near Bali Island. Travel to the city is just one hour by plane from Jakarta and just 40 minutes to to Bali Island.
There are many interesting places to visit in Surabaya. You can go shopping at a mall like Tunjungan Plaza, Supermall, Galaxi Mall, etc. There is the Zoo and numerous monuments (Monumen Kapal Selam, Monumen Jalesveva Jayamahe, etc.) For culiner there are restaurants recommended to visit. Kya-Kya is one place to eat in Surabaya. The concept is to feel like we live in China. There are lots of foodstalls. Mmmm..what else?? From Surabaya you can go to Bromo Mountain. It takes about 3 hours by car is a beautiful mountain. There are many other beautiful places you can visit from Surabaya, for example Malang, Tretes, Madura, etc. I want to tell you more about Surabaya but there is not enough space for me to write more.
