Mashhad is one of the largest cities of Iran and the capital of the province of Khorasan, in the eastern part of Iran. The city is a very important religious center for the existance of Holy Shrine of Emam Reza (8 th leader of shiiates).

There are many good hotels in the city as there are a lot of pilgrims each year (the second most important pilgrimage town after Mecca). The city has 2 beautiful main parks, some valuable museums (such as a great one in holy shrine and musuem of king Nader ). The tomb of Ferdosi is in the vilage of Toos near Mashhad.
