But if you can afford it, I advise you the romantic Pierre Loti (the pseudonym of the famous French traveller and writer, born in Rochefort). Pierre Loti is a very convenient hotel, three stars, with very good prices, located in the heart of Istanbul, not far from the Great Bazaar, a few metres from the Topkapi and Hagia Sofia. Breakfast in on the top floor with an excellent view.
