Don't use the conventional second to last syllable stress or nobody purports to understand where you want! The stress falls on the first syllable.

Modena is on the rail line from Milano to Bologna and Firenze and makes a good stop for your first night if you are travelling south. It is far enough to feel you have started but not to become exhausted. What is perhaps more significant is that it is a delightful city with a cathedral with claims to be Italy's best Romanesque one. It would certainly take some beating.

The people at the kiosk outside the station for bus tickets and advice are really friendly and helpful and will see you on your way to any of the hotels. [edit text]  [editors]
