Aizu-wakamatsu is located in Fukushima prefecture and home to Tsuraga castle. It is about 200 km north of Tokyo and well known, both for the onsen (hot springs) and beautiful Mt. Bandai in Bandai Asahi National Park, Japan’s second largest.
Aizu is also well known in Japan for its excellent sake. The combination of climate and agriculture makes for some of Japan’s best brands of sake. [edit text][editors]
